So this week was midterms… for the students! Oh the irony. When my friends are all taking midterms, I’m making and giving a midterm… What did I do to deserve such reward! :)
Joking aside, it was rather rough for both the students and the teachers. Not for me so much because I’m only like… half a teach, but still. Each teach had to make 6 tests, then correct all 70 within a time frame. It was weird to be in the opposite position but it also made me realize that nothing is easy haha. So Monday and Tuesday were midterm days, which meant the kids took tests for the first 4 hours of class then had free time… which means the teachers have free time too! We all went out.
On Wednesday, with all the results of the tests in, the school has a group coaching day. The morning had the high schoolers all gather up and have each teacher talk about their results and their attitude for the first quarter. And man was it exhausting. Having to pinpoint each student’s attitude along with their scores took a FREAKing long time. All day, to be exact. But after, we were able to go out to eat again. Then, with some free time, I was able to (finally) play some more Dota2. Thanks Andy!
Okay, now to rewind a bit. On Saturday, I was able to finally go shopping and bought some clothes and shoes for the looooong walk next week. Got some nice running shoes and some pants, but I still need to pick up a windbreaker. This weekend.
A short update I know but it wasn’t TOO eventful. I’ll be moving out come this weekend which will be AWESOME with internet and hanging out with the two younger teachs who’ll be like older brothers. Now to advance myself. Korea is fun and interesting but I still believe this is an experience rather than anything extremely life changing. Only time will tell. Next week will be hell, walking for 5 days straight… Something I’ve never done before. We’ll see how I hold up hahahaa…. I’m scared hahaha. Until next time.
